    We went a few months ago and it was great. This time mine was good but my wife's was not. However, the reason for the bad review is the shady tab. It is not itemized, but I noticed immediately the amount seemed too high for our order. We asked the waitress, and she seemed to use some "creative" pricing to explain the bill, quoting prices higher than the menu! How can that be? Even after that, the bill was 5-7 dollars higher than we could calculate. The money isn't an issue, but my wife and I both are big on principle. We did learn they charged an extra 1.85 for more chips, but still didn't add up. In the end it felt like we got ripped off, so we won't be back...

    I have been twice. First time was fair so gave it a second chance. Nope. Not again. Receipt not itemized. Got a plain ticket with an amount on it. Got a menu and itemized the meal. We had 3 beers, eggs with beans, and a taco salad. Eggs were good. Taco salad was soupy. After eating the top portion, I could see liquids sitting in it. The meat was very pale. I pushed it aside. Hubby had the eggs with refried beans. His was good. The salsa had weird strings in it. The total from the menu prices was 26.99. We were charged 33.85. What? The beers that were 4 on the menu had a "50 cent beer tax" each. The waitress was rude when I asked about the price difference. I was overcharged for my salad and charged for the chips. I love whole in the wall authentic Mexican food. This is not the place to go.

    My wife and I love authentic Mexican food and we are always willing to try new places. This place got 3.9 out 5 stars so we thought it’s probably not too bad. Well we were so wrong! Please save yourself and avoid this pace at all costs. Food was awful (tasteless and greasy), service bad, receipt not itemized, place was dirty, need I say more? I will never go back! The only people willing to give this place more than 2 stars are on payroll or family and friends of owner. Run away fast!

    Supposed to be authentic Mexican food, but the queso is like concession stand Nacho cheese. The beef tacos were pretty good though.

    It has been my favorite for 15 years. The taqueria salsa is fantastic. I order steak tacos on corn with cilantro and onion every time. At each bite I add a spoon full of salsa and a bit of salt. FANTASTIC! 03/06/19. Update. Food remains the same. Very good. But! They overcharge me on a to go order. AGAIN! It’s good food but by principle, I will never do business here again. Also, obviously, I really like the sals. But trying to get a couple extra was like I was stealing from them. They do not like gringos! Stay away, and don’t use the restrooms.
